The MUCIV-Museum of Civilizations is launching a new project developed in collaboration with the Digital Library, dedicated to the development of an integrated data management system based on Artificial Intelligence for the preservation, study, and access to cultural heritage.
The initiative aims to test innovative digital tools capable of linking data, collections, archives, images, and scientific content, opening new possibilities for understanding and promoting museum heritage. The use of Artificial Intelligence will enable the development of more advanced methods of analysis, organization, and access to information, while also fostering new forms of research, storytelling, and participation.
The project is part of the PNRR – M1C3 “Tourism and Culture 4.0,” Investment 1.1 “Digital Strategies and Platforms for Cultural Heritage,” Sub-investment 1.1.11 “Co-creation and Crowdsourcing Platform,” and represents an important opportunity for experimentation and collaboration among scientific, technological, and museum expertise.
A preliminary preview of the project was already presented on March 5, 2026, by the responsible officials during AnthroDay 2026, hosted at the Museum.
